In this video I will be asking a series of questions asking students to identify organs. I also review the major functions of the organs. This video would be good as a preview for students entering A&P I or A&P II or as a refresher for students with pre-existing knowledge of the subject Topics covered: the definition of an organ, skin function, liver function, brain (afferent vs efferent), sple...

The Correct Sequence for Studying A&P
Переглядів 8545 місяців тому
Often times when students are struggling with A&P it is because they aren't learning things in the correct order, or they are only studying what their professor is explicitly asking them to study without realizing that the other information in the chapter is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to understand before they can move on to what their professor wants them to learn.

This is soo amazing, thank you so much 🫂
Straight to the point and you did not take 15 mins to explain the concept(s). Thank you for the video!
Thank you ❤
To understand this literally brought tears to my eyes. I'm so thankful for you Anatomy Hero. You are my Hero.
thank you thank you thank you
Your saving my grade!!!! 🙏 I'm ok with identifying obejcts on a large model like a brain, but have no idea what I am looking at when it comes to microscopes.
awesome video, exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VEDIO❤
Thanks your video was really helpful

What is the difference between a suture and a fissure?
A fissure is an open crack. In the context of skeletal anatomy, there's only two I can think of: the superior and inferior orbital fissure. A suture is where two bones are "stitched together" by collagen fibers with no opening in between them. All the examples are in the skull.
@@AnatomyHeroThank you 🙏⭐

Is the bladder suspended in the pelvis?
Indeed it is.
I'm a guy. Is it OK for me to cry while taking anatomy. There's so many new concepts to absorb. The scientific terminology is all over the place.
Lots of people cry during anatomy...I know I did! It's a class that requires an incredible amount of time and effort. Half the battle is usually improving your academic skills...textbook reading, note taking, memorization... Just keep looking for ways to improve and you'll get there eventually!
@@AnatomyHero Thank you for your incredible advice.
I graduated with a degree in finance back in 2014. I'm now back in school to change careers to work in the medical field. I want to cry in anatomy. I'm not good at memorization.
Many students struggle with memorization at first, but it's something that you will get better at! This video gives a basic technique for memorizing terms... ua-cam.com/video/5MXa4IE_ixQ/v-deo.html This video explains how to break down terms to understand their meaning: ua-cam.com/video/1ZbwFy1teUE/v-deo.html Also, if you are taking an accelerated summer course...it might be too much no matter what you do. Making memories is a physical process that is occurring in your brain...and it requires time. If you find it's too much, just take it in the fall!
You’re a blessing!! I learned this in one day , as opposed to a dam week !! I was so confused and now I’m grateful! I’m sticking around here til my summer class is over!!
You really are a hero i am crying taking my summer class feeling like im going to fail i swear you and crash course are the only things keeping my sanity alive
Thank you for the great content and quizzes! I was struggling to understand with my AP teacher but you broke it down so well!
The way I have an exam today and this video helped my entire understanding!
Histo exam in next hour
You're actually a life saver. I love the little tricks to remember things!
Super clear explanation, thank u!!
Thank you for your videos. It's really understandable. Is there practice test on reproduction histology
literalllyyyy saved meee I love you
Thank you so much❤❤❤
Best video on internet 🎉❤
Thank you so much. I understand now.
This is so detailed! Thanks a lot!👏👏
Best I have ever seen!
This actually makes sense now.
This teacher made it incredibly easy thanks mam
No need to be a misandrist in your videos ..”The old dead Men ” made medicine and cure that we know to be what it is today and some of them at expense of their own life and the cells are named after them.”Feminists need not erase men’s contributions to further your own”
If it makes you feel any better, the gender of the scientist has nothing to do with why the field is transitioning away from structures named after people. It's more the fact that a person's name doesn't help describe the function or appearance in a meaningful way. For example "subendocardial conducting network" describes exactly where the structure is and what it does, whereas "purkinje fibers" doesn't. It's less confusing for everyone in the long run if the names are descriptive, but in the short term it can lead to some confusion because depending on how old you professor is, or how old your book is, you might hear the old name or the newer name, which is why I often say both...and yes, I will often flippantly describe the older name as the "old dead guy name", a habit I picked up from my own professor, Dr. Thomas McGovern.
My comment is based on how you used the language to describe Scientists ..and it doesn’t change from the fact that they are named after contributions done by old Dead guys you flippantly described ..and language ,Respect and professionalism is everything in a physicians communication ... it’s probably the time you change the way you speak on the greatest contributors of medical Knowledge and science regardless of the gender or where you picked it from …So instead of “old dead guys” you can use phrases like “Medicine is trying to change as the names are confusing and don’t relate to the function of the cell or a structure”..And yes it will make me feel better if I was able to change anyone to respect our older Doctors and scientists
@@Notyourdad90 I'm actually not that concerned about the contingent of people that can't stomach mild irreverence, so I'm going to continue to be flippant. If I'm too spicy for you, I would suggest Fiore's Atlas of Normal Histology.
Omg thank you!!!
Ohhh gurl god bless u, you cured my anxiety with just 1 video😭❤

So Long To Pinky, Here Comes The Thumb
You're good ma'am 😘
Thank u But i also have some difficulties with identifying nerve tissue from cartilage Because both of them have white circle things for example in PNS we have Schwan cells that look white in slides and in the cartilage we have lucanes that they also look white
When you're getting two different tissues types mixed up, the best thing you can do is get several examples of each and compare them all side by side...so maybe try putting a few of each in an album on your phone and looking back and forth between them. Once you see multiple examples of cartilage followed by multiple examples of nervous tissue, I think you'll see the difference! Hope that helps, good luck in your studies
i thoght i know brain anatomy, but i was empty. thanks alot
Thanks very much 🎉🎉🎉
Hi thanks the video is nice Am still having problem identifying them.specially d double layer cell and d transitional
A lot of people have trouble with transitional, so I made this video specifically about transitional: ua-cam.com/video/tM1d2mqCHd8/v-deo.html I also have this video where I outline the shapes of the cells and layers: ua-cam.com/video/avRGUka9wu4/v-deo.html Hope that helps! thank you
